Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to what importers actually ask us on the first call.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
A factory. We have been producing in Yiwu since 2005 — 12000m², 180 staff, 8 lines. Audit us in person, by video, or through SGS / TÜV / Bureau Veritas at your cost.
What is your minimum order?
500 pcs per item / per color as a default, but it varies by product and it is negotiable on a mixed container. Gift packaging starts at 2,000 pcs, which is the cheapest way to test us before committing to hard goods.
Can I mix products in one container?
Yes, and most of our customers do. A mixed 40HQ across trees, ornaments, greens and packaging is normal. We supply a loading plan with CBM per SKU so you can optimise the stuff.
Do you charge for samples?
Samples are free; buyer covers courier. Fee refunded on first order. Existing moulds: 7-10 days. New tooling: 20-30 days.
What are your payment terms?
T/T 30% deposit, 70% before shipment; L/C at sight; Trade Assurance. For a first order we will discuss terms that limit your exposure — we would rather you felt safe than lost the order over it.
What is the production lead time?
35-45 days after deposit. Book early: from June onward every Christmas factory in China is full, and lead times stretch. The buyers who get their dates are the ones who placed in Q1.
Which certifications do you hold?
BSCI, ISO9001, EN71, ASTM-F963, REACH, CPSIA. Item-level test reports are arranged per order and per destination market — an EU order and a US order do not carry the same report.
Do you do private label and custom design?
Yes, both OEM and ODM. Pantone matching costs nothing extra. New injection tooling is quoted separately and is often partly refunded against volume. Tooling and designs developed for you stay exclusive to you.
Which incoterms do you work on?
FOB, CIF, EXW, DDP ex Ningbo / Shanghai. We can quote DDP if you would rather not manage import yourself, but on most lanes you will get a better rate through your own forwarder — we will tell you honestly which is which.
How do you handle quality problems?
Photo QC report before we book the container, and third-party inspection welcome at any point. If a defect gets through, send photographs and the carton markings and we will replace against your next order or credit it. We would rather carry the cost than lose a repeat customer.
Do you sell to consumers or in small quantities?
No. We are a manufacturer supplying importers, wholesalers, retail chains, garden centres and contract decorators. If you need one tree, buy it from a retailer.
How do tariffs affect my landed cost?
That depends on your country and HS code, and it changes. We quote FOB and tell you the HS codes we normally ship under. Confirm the duty rate with your own customs broker — do not take a supplier’s word on your tariff exposure.
